You Can Help When Your Parents Are Sad

Galatians 6:2 “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”

Have you ever stopped to think your mom and dad need you?
They need your love, help and prayers no matter what they are going through!

Being an adult can be really hard sometimes;
Long days at work, arguments with those they love or hours of hearing little brother’s rhymes!

What does the Bible tell us we can do when we see our parents going through something rough?
There’s plenty in His Word about it. Even God knows things can get a little tough!

Ephesians 6:18 tells us to “be alert and always keep on praying”.
I bet you already pray for your parents so this is an easy one, just saying!

James 1:19 says, ” … Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak…”
We can sit down and talk and listen to what’s wrong when Mom and Dad are weak!

Then help Mom and Dad by doing extra chores, give extra hugs and kisses and simply obey;
God will be so proud of you as you help Him help your parents get back on their way!

Fun Fact: Being in a positive mood around someone who is not feeling very positive can help change their mood to a good one!
