“The mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace.” Romans 8:6
She saw the window flash,
She waited … then heard the CRASH.
The news had warned about storm,
It was supposed to be strong, out of the norm.
Squirmles hated when the clouds rolled in,
Just the thought made her start worryin’.
Worries and fears crowded her head,
She was quite convinced she’d end up dead.
The wind picked up she could hear it blow,
She was just certain it was a tornado.
The worrying took over her rational thought,
All she could do was worry, and worry a lot.
Her mother tried to tell her it would be okay,
That helped a little, but then she prayed.
She told God her fears and why she was scared,
He answered back, “Don’t worry, it’s been prepared.”
God’s not only knows all, but made all too,
He knows and cares about what’s best for you.
Yes, He makes the storms and they can be frightening,
But He’s in control of the wind, rain and lightening.
Worrying is easy to do,
It’s a lot harder not to.
But worrying without reason isn’t right,
That’s trying to win a losing fight.
Trust and tell God about your fears,
He’s waiting and listening with open ears.
Who better to tell than the creator of it all?
He’s there to listen every time you call.
What do you worry about? What do you do when you’re worried or scared?
