The Bible talks about prayer a lot and prayer is good, but why?
A lot of prayers are asking God for help: if someone is sick, we ask God to make that person get well, or if we are scared, like in a storm, we ask God to help us. Even grown-ups are sometimes scared. I am scared of thunder and so when we have a bad storm, I always ask God to make it go by quickly. And He does.
I talk to God about all kinds of things, when people are sick, I ask Him to make them better. But did you know prayer doesn’t have to be like that all the time? Prayer is how we talk to God, so anything you want to say to Him is a prayer. If I lose something, I ask God to help me find it. If I am working on something, I ask God to help it go well and to help me do it right.
I thank God for things, like the sunshine and the flowers and for the good things that happen to me, because the Bible says all good things are from God. So you can talk to God every day about anything. He is always listening.
Never stop praying. 1 Thessalonians 5:17
What do you pray to God about? Do you have a prayer request that we can pray about with you?
