“Call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding.” Proverbs 2:3
The phone rang,
Things would never be the same.
Something bad had occurred.
Squirmles couldn’t make out every word.
An accident of some kind,
If only time could rewind.
Someone was hurt bad,
Her mother’s voice changed sad.
She hung up the phone, tears on her face,
Anxious to hear, Squirmles stopped her pace.
“Your grandparent’s were in a wreck, dear,”
Her tone was muddled and unclear.
“It was an accident, no one’s fault,
They tried to swerve and tried hault,
But the deer came fast from the woods,
Grandpa did everything that he could.
The good news is everyone will eventually be okay,
As for the damage it’s too early to say.
Grandma is at the hospital now,
She’s okay, but I don’t know how.”
Accidents can be scary no matter how bad,
They can make us angry, confused, and sad.
It’s important to know through the pain,
That God is with us just the same.
God never leaves us to “figure it out”,
He is with us to the end and all throughout.
He will work even the pain into good,
We know this because He said he would.
Why do you think God allows accidents to happen?
