Have you ever watched the morning news,
And it made you feel afraid?
Daddy might have had it on,
While dressing for the day.
You hear of people dying,
See many people crying.
The world so big, seems vast and mean,
You don’t understand the things you’ve seen.
Sometimes it makes you wonder,
Is God really good at all?
And if He really is good,
Does He listen when we call?
I promise you, my dear one,
He sees every tear, hears every cry.
He even knows exactly when
A single sparrow dies.
God’s bigger than your mommy,
And stronger than your daddy.
When you’re afraid, He’s with you,
And hugs you closely, gladly.
Whisper again, your worried prayer,
Then let it go to God.
He’s in control, He’s on His throne.
And He loves more than you know.
“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” Psalm 56:3
