Joseph and Mary were Jesus’ parents. They traveled with a large group of friends and family when Jesus was twelve all the way to Jerusalem. The group was busy and loud, and no one noticed that Jesus was missing. For three days he was gone, and finally, his parents discovered his absence.
How do you think Mary and Joseph felt? How would your parents feel if you were missing!?
The Bible tells us that they were worried and when they found him it was a very important moment is Jesus’ life. He told his parent’s that he needed to visit his “Father’s house.”
Jesus was discovered in the temple, asking the great teachers there many important questions, and spending time learning about His Father.
What questions do you think he might have asked?
It’s important to spend time learning about God, and Jesus understood this as a child. We too can spend time learning about our Father in heaven! When we do it brings God great joy and His favor is upon us.
“And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.” Luke 2:52
