Right now, all over the entire world, families are gathering to watch Olympic athletes compete for medals. The medals that the winners are given symbolize their greatness. Olympians have worked long, hard, grueling hours to become the fastest, strongest and best in their sports and events. We are told in 2 Chronicles 15:7 to:
” … be strong and do not lose courage, for there is reward for your work.”
The hard work that the Olympians have put in is finally paying off! They are getting to compete to prove their skills and winning their medals. You too, must put in hard work as a follower of Christ. Reading our Bible, praying, remembering to praise God first, and taking time to really grow your faith can be challenging at best. But we must do the hard work, and be strong, because there is a reward in Heaven for all of our hard work that we are putting out here on Earth.
When does it feel like hard work to follow God? What is one reward that the Bible promises to us for our devotion to God?
