Remember Primrose? She’s grown a lot. Her confidence from living in love makes her incredibly curious. Rosie, as she is called now, showed me more about how God wants us to be!
This week, as her mom served as a lesson horse, Rosie tagged along—stopping every few feet to explore. She gave me a lesson in what God wants!
One of Rosie’s explorations got her in some trouble. She snagged her halter on a tall metal post and panicked.
Standing nearby, I wanted to help but a wiser person said, “Let her be. She’ll stop when she figures out she needs to.” Sure enough! In seconds, she realized it hurt to thrash around and quietly laid on the ground. Then the halter could safely be unhooked. Rosie bounced to her feet and didn’t make that mistake again!
God created this world for us to enjoy. Curiosity is good. Sometimes, though, we make mistakes. Then, we need to be like Rosie and quietly wait for help from God. He’s always with us.
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6
When have you needed help with a mistake?
