In the beginning there was a new birth,
For on day one God created the Heavens and the Earth.
If that wasn’t enough, the Spirit let out His might,
He created light, and separated the day from the night.
On day two God used his power to create the kingdom above,
This was the mighty work of the Holy Spirit, the Dove.
Next was day three, when the Lord created the sea and dry land,
He filled it with high mountains, lush vegetation, and sand.
When the Creator reached day four, He was far from done,
He hand decorated the universe with the stars, the moon, and the sun.
Day five arrived and our Savior created the fish and the whale,
He also created the birds of the sky without fail.
Day sixth of creation was the final day,
Our Great God created the land animals, who loved to frolic and play.
On this final day Our Lord also created His crown jewel,
He fearfully and wonderfully made man to have dominion and to rule.
Once it was all over, He blessed His work from above,
He commanded nature to be fruitful, and sealed it with His love.
Jesus was involved with the creation of the universe. (John 1:1-3)
You were made special! In the very image of God! (Gen 1:26)
There was a seventh day, but God used it to rest as an example to mankind. (Gen 2:2-3)
Key Verse to Remember:
“For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him” (Colossians 1:16).
