“Whoever has a bountiful eye will be blessed, for he shares his bread with the poor.” Proverbs 22:9 ESV
She had won fair and square,
It was her decision and she didn’t have to share.
She got to decide the dinner and the show,
She loved to make the decisions and no one could say “no.”
“Winner takes all!” that was the rule.
Squirmles had won the coin flipping duel.
She couldn’t wait to speak her choice,
Her turn, her decision, her voice.
But something didn’t feel quite right,
She tried to ignore it, she’d won alright!
Squirrel had tried to win the toss,
But as usual Squirrel suffered the loss.
Now with all the “rights” to choose,
Squirmles felt the Holy Spirit’s cues.
“Share your decisions, make one each.”
“Share with your sister,” it did teach.
So that night Squirrel chose the show,
And Squirmles chose to eat Sloppy Joes.
Squirmles didn’t have to share what she had won,
But in the end, it was way more fun!
Sharing doesn’t always involve a thing,
And oh the joy it can bring!
God wants us to share with others,
And not just sisters and brothers.
Sharing can be big or it can be small,
God loves sharing all and all.
He shared his son so that you can live,
Look around, what can you to give?
