Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed. Proverbs 19:17
Summer is fun, but Christmas is much better,
I know it’s cold but you can wear a warm sweater.
It’s always fun to see the colorful blinking lights,
And pretty Christmas trees climbing great heights.
But there is one thing about Christmas that gives more pleasure,
And that is the joy and peace that comes from giving to others.
Christmas is the season for sharing your many presents,
For buying Christmas gifts, using your dollars and cents.
Be sure to give these gifts to the poor and the needy,
Don’t keep them all for yourself because that’s greedy!
You can give away one of your Barbie dolls or trucks,
A Mickey Mouse toy or a book with Donald Duck.
Our Heavenly Father gave us the biggest gift of all,
And He didn’t order it online, nor did He get from a mall.
He gave His only son Jesus, in return for all our sins,
And that’s why we celebrate Jesus, so let the giving begin!
