“Peddle. Peddle. Steady. There you go!”
Joey’s eyes sparkled as he wobbled to a stop.
“I DID IT! I can ride a two-wheeler!”
Remember your first ride-on toys? They were great when you got them, but you quickly outgrew them. Then came the tricycle that was soon replaced with a two-wheeler and training wheels. Finally, you learned to ride!
Living in Jesus is just as exciting. In the beginning, we learn things about God and how He wants us to live. Stories and rules are like early ride-on toys. Then we begin to look at why God asks to do things. We move to seeing the heart of God that lies at the center of every rule. God always gives commands—and tells stories—so we can know what true love is like.
The love of God is the power that frees us to live the “Best Feeling in the World” all the time!
“Your face, O Lord, I seek” (Psalm 27:8b).
What rule from God helps you feel most loved?
