“All the sins… Will be forgiven them.” Mark 3:28
He had been her favorite thing,
Oh, the joy he used to bring.
She slept with her teddy every night,
She never let him out of her sight.
It was an accident when she left him behind that day,
She never dreamed he’d disappear that way.
It was her sister, Squirrel’s, fault you see,
She was the one who took her beloved teddy.
She scooped him up and they went to the park,
But she forgot to get him after dark.
She left her sister’s teddy alone and lost,
A simple mistake with a very high cost.
Squirmles was mad at what had been done,
All because her sister wanted to have fun.
She had lost her teddy, her best friend.
How was this going to mend?
“You need to forgive her,” her mom would say,
But Squirmles felt a different way.
She didn’t want to forgive her or let it go,
But it was the right thing; she did know.
Forgiveness isn’t always easy to do,
Especially when someone’s really hurt you.
But God’s perfect love has forgiven us all,
Even when we slip and fall.
So forgive because you have been forgiven,
The greatest gift ever given.
God forgave us so we can pass on his grace,
He forgave us and died in our place.
Have you ever had a hard time forgiving someone? When is a time you had to ask for forgiveness?
