I wake up in the morning,
Say to God, “Good morning, Lord!
What would you have me do for you today?”
I start my day by seeking Him
Because I do not want to sin.
I want my life to please Him in every way.
I get dressed, I make my bed,
I try to help my mom and dad.
After breakfast, it’s off to school I go.
At school, I take my classroom seat,
Listen to my teacher teach.
So many things I need to learn and know!
With my classmates, I am kind.
Study to improve my mind.
To my friends, I try to be loyal and true.
When working hard or when I play,
I ask the Lord to show the way
As to what He wants for me to say and do.
Then at night, I lay in bed,
Read my Bible, say my prayers,
And say, “Thank you, Lord. My blessings are from you.”
Did You Know? God cares about everything that bothers you: if you lose a toy, stump your toe, make a bad grade, or if someone hurts your feelings. You can pray to God about everything.
“God looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.” (Psalm 53:2 / NIV)
