Rainbows Remind Us Of God’s Promise
“I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth.”
(Genesis 9:13)
The seasons are warmer and everything is in bloom,
Rain is a very good thing, even if it makes us feel a bit gloom.
The sun and the rain work together starting in spring,
To make the earth fill with the most beautiful things.
Fruits, vegetables, flowers, and trees–
And it warms and fills the waters of ponds, lakes, and seas.
Have you noticed a rainbow after a rain shower?
Do you know its meaning holds a promise of God’s power?
After Noah built his ark and the great flood came,
God him a rainbow and said, “Things will never be the same.
“Let the rainbow remind you of what I’m telling you,
The world will never flood and My promise is true.”
So, next time you see a rainbow in the sky,
Admire it’s beauty and thank God He never lies!
He means what He says and says what He does,
It’s all of us in the world that He loves!
