Mornings can be tough. Getting dressed, eating breakfast, tidying up, packing up and getting out the door to go is a time of day that is filled with opportunities to get frustrated, angry and even argue with our loved ones. The Bible is full of examples of people that followed God and began their day with praising Him, such as King David, John the Baptist and Elijah.
If we could all spend the first few minutes of each day in prayer, song and reflection on all the good things God has done in our lives, it would make our day so much more blessed, mostly because we know God draws close to those who praise Him.
Some fun ways to praise are to sing songs together as you get ready, to have family prayer and cuddle time before the busy-ness begins, and to read a short devotional together! God wants us to get everything out of our days that we can, and praising Him helps us to feel Him in this!
“They are also to stand every morning to give thanks and praise to the Lord, and likewise in the evening.” 1 Chronicles 23:30
