In Part I, we talked about how human judges make decisions, and what they say goes. Judges have power. Every decision they make affects the lives of many people—sometimes millions and billions. That is why it is very important that the judges go by God’s Word, because God’s Word is the only way that any person truly knows what is right or not.
If judges do not respect God’s commands, then the decisions they make are always wrong, and cause trouble for people under their rule.
However, we know that there is no Judge higher than God, Who is our Father–if we have made His Son, Jesus, our Savior and LORD.
When God is our Father, He is the highest Judge of our lives, far above every human judge, and we love and obey His Laws.
When God the Most High Judge is our Father, we have nothing to fear, because He is on our side!
1 Peter 1:17 (AMP) says,
And if you call upon Him as [your] Father Who judges each one impartially according to what he does, [then] you should conduct yourselves with true reverence throughout the time of your temporary residence [on the earth, whether long or short].
What are some of God’s laws and commands that you can think of from the Bible?
