For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. 1 Corinthians 15:3, 4
It is so important that we study hard;
That we learn math and also learn to read.
It is so important that we learn our English rules
That we learn our world’s history to succeed.
We must surely learn to neatly write our name
And learn each letter’s sound and rightful place.
We want to learn to draw and surely join a team
Or play an instrument that suits our taste!
We should learn the capital of each and every state,
And memorize the planets and their facts.
We should know our presidents and the years they served.
We should do our best in every task!
But the most important thing—the thing that should come first,
Is trusting the One who died–our soul to save.
No amount of earthly knowledge could ever be enough
To understand the perfect Love He gave!
No knowledge is above the One who died for us,
No love above the love that set us free.
No fact on Earth is greater than His precious name.
First is the One who died for you and me!
Fun Fact: When Jesus died, He exchanged His perfect life for our sins and put them on Himself.
Question: What are some important things you have learned being a part of a team or learning to play an instrument? Is anything you’ve learned more important than knowing about Jesus?
