Sorting games can be very fun, and knowing how to sort is useful! Matching socks, separating toys and putting groceries away are all ways of sorting. Putting milk in the laundry room and dryer sheets next to the stove does not make much sense, does it? Used in the right way, sorting or labeling things is very helpful. When you have time, you might enjoy some of these sorting games.
But first, there is something important to know. Using labels to describe people is a bad idea. Do you know why?
We can never label people because no two people are alike. God made every person special and different. Every person is one-of-a-kind! We look different; we like different things; but each is a special glimpse of God Himself!
Sometimes people do get labeled by the color of their skin, a challenge they have or where they live. That often causes very sad problems. We want to look at people like God looks at people, so we have to read His Word:
“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him …” (Genesis 1:27).
Can you think of a good thing to sort?
