“…That in Heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father, which is in Heaven.”
I slipped and fell today! My knees were hurt and scraped!
I squeezed my eyes real tight, but still a tear escaped.
The Bible says I have an angel that always sees Your face.
I know you must have seen me, God, on that rocky, jagged place.
My Nana came when she heard me cry but I was almost on my feet.
She hugged me tight and I felt her love so soft and warm and sweet.
She always knows just what to do to make me better quick.
Even when I have a fever and I’m really sick!
Where was my angel today, Lord? I really want to know.
Why did my angel let me fall? Did she just let me go?
Was she really looking, Lord? Did she see my pain?
And if my angel looks to You, will I still fall again?
Nana says we’re human and things happen when I play,
But because You made us, we heal up right away.
Thank you, Lord for seeing me and making me just fine.
Help me stay strong for You and help me not to whine.
Help me put my trust in You to help me get back up.
And thank You for strong legs to run and play and jump.
And thank You for my Nana that prays the hurt away.
Oh, could she be my angel, Lord, that helped me up today?
Why does God allow us to get hurt?
Who is there to help you up when you fall down?
Who does the Bible say is there always with you and looks at the face of the Father?
