For the LORD sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7
How do you see yourself?
Is it all about your face?
Is it the color of your eyes?
Or could it be your race?
Is your skin a beautiful tan?
Or is it dark or fair?
When you look in the mirror,
You see a plain face there?
You don’t have to shut your eyes
Or turn away in tears,
You are very precious to God!
You’re beautiful, so have no fear!
God looks inside to see
What your heart is like
Not the one that beats inside
But the one that can love him back!
Others may look to see your hair
Or if you’ve got a handsome face.
But God looks deep into your heart
To see if you love Him best!
Fun Fact: God sees your heart, and He is tender toward you, ready to forgive any sin.
Questions: What kind of heart will God see if He looks at yours? How does God make our heart clean? (He died on the cross to pay for our sin so that we can be forgiven.)
