In the Bible we learn about a young boy named David. He was a shepherd and the youngest of eight boys. David’s three oldest brothers went to war to fight the Philistines, who were giants fighting to take over David’s home called Israel.
When David came to his brothers’ camp to bring them food he said:
“ … Let no one lose heart on account of this Philistine; your servant will go and fight him.” 1 Samuel 17:32.
Wow! Do you think you could be that brave? David was a boy, a shepherd. Do you think David fought the giants? Yes, he did. The Bible says, “David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet him.” (1 Samuel 17:48)
Do you think you could be unafraid and brave like David?
