Animals make me smile and teach me big things. A morning at the barn, petting necks and kissing noses quiets my heart and helps me live better! There is a man from long ago who believed in learning from the animals. Have you ever heard of Job?
“Just ask the animals, and they will teach you … ” (Job 12:7).
My most recent teacher is a foal named, Primrose. This sweet little horse knows nothing but love, and because of that, gives only love. Her momma is gentle and kind with a long, crooked blaze down to her muzzle. Primrose looks just like her—gentle, kind and with a crooked blaze.
Do you see the truth? What we receive—we give. God calls it sowing and reaping, and it works.
Another animal has taught me the other side. She has never been loved. Addy can barely stand petting. Touching scares her because she does not know what love feels like. Her foster family must work hard to teach her love.
People are the same. Some are easy to love. Others are mean because they don’t know love. With Jesus’ help, we can teach love too!
Who do you need to love on?
