“Is being kind an easy thing to do? It should be, but if people are upset about something or sick or hurting in some way kindness may be hard for them to show. Kindness is a gift from God. You know how happy you are when you get a gift, right? Well guess what? God wants you to give the gift of kindness to others – just like He gave it to you.
Print out the Counting Kindness calendar and keep track of all the “kindness gifts” you give for 30 days. Here are examples of “kindness gifts” – Being nice to your brother or sister. Obeying your parents. Helping a friend. Being nice to your pets. Calling your grandparents to say “I love you”. You’ll think of lots more “kindness gifts” as the days go by. Have fun, be kind and before you know it your “kindness gifts” will come back to bless you as you will be very happy in making others smile.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness gentleness and self-control.” Galatians 5:22 –23.
Who will you show kindness to today? What will you do?
