I love the LORD, because he has heard my voice and my pleas for mercy. Because he inclined his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live. Psalm 116:1-2
Who do you call when you fall down—
When you skin your knee?
You call your Mom or Daddy—
“Please come and help me!”
Who do you call when you see a fire?
When you know danger is about?
You call a fireman or the police—
“Please come and help us out!”
Who do you call when you don’t understand—
When there’s problem in Math?
You call your teacher or a smart friend–
“Please show me how to work this out!”
But who do you call when you need mercy—
Help you don’t deserve?
Why you call on the Lord, Jesus Christ!
Only He can show that love!
He hears your every heart-cry
He knows just how you feel!
He hears your cries of sorrow,
If you close your eyes or you kneel.
He loves to hear your voice
Just like your Mom and Dad.
He knows what you are praying.
He loves all His children the same!
We will keep on calling
Because we know He’s there!
We will keep asking for mercy
Over and over again.
Fun Fact: The Lord will always love to hear the voice of those who love and obey Him, especially children! (Proverbs 8:17)
