2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”
A caterpillar is very slow, crawls, and is almost always yucky-looking. It stands for the old life of a person, full of yucky, ugly things.
At the proper time, the caterpillar goes into a chrysalis, where a miracle occurs. There, it is changed—transformed—into a new creature! It becomes a butterfly—beautiful, light, and with the power and freedom to go many places quickly!
Have you asked Jesus into your heart so you will be “butterfly new”? Tell others how they can become free butterflies like you!
Butterflies are so pretty,
With their many-colored wings,
Oh, how I love to see them,
They are such carefree little things!
They flutter over here,
They fly way over there,
They drink right from the flowers,
They decorate the air.
They are lovely, special ones
That God has used to show,
His power in our lives to make
Us free from “caterpillar slow.”
Our faith in Jesus’ blood has done
For us what none could do;
He took our old “caterpillar” life
And made us “butterfly” new!
If you believe in Jesus as your Savior, how can you see that He is changing you?
