One of the names of Jesus is “the Living Water.” Our bodies have to have water to live, and our spirits have to have Jesus—the Living Water—to give us the abundant life that Jesus died to give us. (John 10:10)
Have you asked Jesus, the Living Water, into your heart? Read John 7:38, and ask God to help you give others the “Living Water” of the love of Jesus inside you.
Water is a living thing;
A necessary brook or spring
To cleanse, to nourish,
and bring new life.
Ever moving, ever giving,
All its fountains lithe and living.
Smooth as glass or capped with white,
All are drawn to its refreshing sight.
Cleansing beaches, changing lands,
Washing every persons’ hands.
Thrilling seekers with a fountain,
Drop by drop, eroding mountain.
Nourishing a dying man–
Oasis in a sun-scorched land.
Delighting swimmers, cruisers too,
Necessary more than daily food.
Habitat of many creatures,
Full of ever changing features.
Symbol of a brand new life,
Cleansing wounds once made from strife.
Flowing free to wash and give,
New strength for weak ones now to live.
Water is a living thing,
An ever flowing mountain stream.
That represents the Holy One—
JESUS!—Through Whom people are loved and won!
How do you share the love of Jesus with other people?
