I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep. John 10:14-15
The little lamb slid down the cliff.
It cried out in its pain.
It was scared and hurt and cold
And could not get up again.
The shepherd saw the little lamb.
He knew just what to do.
For he was a good, kind shepherd
And came to its rescue!
Jesus climbed up on a cross
And came to our rescue.
He our good, kind Shepherd
And did what no one else could do.
Jesus always knows our voice.
He hears our smallest sigh.
He will come and comfort us.
He hears our deepest cry.
And even though He’s King of Kings,
And sits upon a throne,
He is our good, kind Shepherd
He calls us His very own!
Fun Fact: Jesus is The King who is also our Shepherd!
