The puppy hid beneath my feet
As thunder rolled around.
No calming words could soothe
This shivering little hound.
“Don’t you understand,” I asked,
“That Jesus is in charge?
He calmed the sea and made the wind.
All our fears seem small to Him
Even if they’re large.
“He even walked on stormy seas.”
I picked the puppy up.
“And He’s not scared of anything!”
Then lighten struck close up!
I hid my head in puppy’s fur,
And prayed right quick to God,
That He would see, take care of me,
And even make us brave.
In an instant I remembered!
Jesus is in charge!
And nothing is too big for Him,
No storm or wind to large.
So if you’re scared of something,
If you’re scared of anything,
Don’t worry, Jesus has you,
Tucked beneath His wing.
Did you know the Bible actually talks about God covering us with His “wings” like a mommy chicken shelters her baby chicks?
