“Give … a discerning heart … to distinguish between right and wrong.” 1 King 3:9
Squirmles lay in bed wrestling with what she had seen,
It hadn’t been scary, just another movie scene.
The movie had been good and fun to see,
But now she was thinking about how it could possibly be.
Full of mystery and magic from beginning to end,
Squirmles had loved it, but couldn’t comprehend.
“Was magic real? Could all of it be true?
Can people fly and disappear too?”
God gave us all an imagination to dream and to use,
But keeping track of reality is nothing to lose.
Pretending magic is always fun,
But remember it isn’t real when it’s all said and done.
Being invisible, flying high in the sky,
Super strength or the inability to die.
All of these are fun to pretend and to play,
But separate real and fake by the end of the day.
There is no magic or strength so great you see,
That is stronger than the love God has for you and me.
No magic was used when Jesus died for your sins,
Just pure love and desire to be your savior and friend.
Do you like to use your imagination? What is one super power you wish you had?
