Who gently kisses your hurting boo-boo?
Who nurses you when you’re fighting the flu?
Who paints your room in your favorite color blue?
Don’t guess any longer; Mommy and Daddy do!
Dad never gets tired of playing make-believe with you,
Mom always gives comfort when you cry boo-hoo,
And when you win or ace your test, they both shout woo-who!
But never forget to say thanks, because parents need your attention too.
Parents will think they’re failing when your feedback is few,
If you don’t tell them they’re succeeding, they won’t have a clue.
Parents are priceless; you cannot change them for ones that are new,
So let them know their doing a good job, and remember to say thank you.
