“You shall walk after the LORD your God and fear him and keep his commandments and obey his voice, and you shall serve him and hold fast to him.” Deuteronomy 13:4
Hold on to Jesus and do not let go!
Walk after Him each step of the way!
Carefully place your foot in His steps
And close to His path you must stay!
Be reverent in His kingly presence.
Obey every word and command!
And when you step out of His steady path,
Remember His nail-scared hand!
Listen carefully for His strong, tender voice;
Confess and repent of your sin.
As sheep always hear their shepherd’s voice,
He will let you begin again.
Hold on … hold on … never let go
Of His strong and mighty hand!
He has promised to never leave us.
He’s told us His wonderful plan!
We are His treasure and we are His friends,
He has a great purpose in mind—
Written in Heaven with love long ago,
He purposed our future before time!
What kind of King leaves all of glory
To come to a dark earth to save
A people who are enemies to His Kingdom—
A king whose very life He gave?
March with Him, in His Army!
March with Him; sing His praise
March with Him; cry “Hosana”!
March with Him all of your days!
Fun Fact: To remember this verse (Hebrews 13:6) use your hand. Start with the your little finger and and say one word with each finger (“I will never leave you”). Point your thumb to yourself as you say “you” or say your name.
Questions: When did the Lord form His plan for you? When we sin, what should do right away?
