“Do to others what you would have them do to you.” Mathew 7:12
“That’s it! You’re stupid,” Squirrel yelled.
With that comment the fight propelled.
“You’re not a smart you think you are,”
Came Squirmles’ comeback from afar.
The fight had started over a toy and game,
Now the afternoon would never be the same.
Harsh words and sentences flew back and forth,
Constantly tearing at the other’s worth.
Finally mom decided to enter the scene,
And inquire about why they were being so mean.
“Words like that can tear each other down,
They tether to the heart and are forever bound.
“Calling each other names is not okay,
You can affect a lot by what you say.
You should strive to treat each other kindness indeed,
Planting kindness is a growing seed.
“If you treat another with love and care,
It’s likely to come back and give you a share.
But if you treat each other with harsh words and hate,
Hate is going to come back at an alarming rate.”
God is clear on how to treat each other,
Treat as yourself, your sister and brother.
Expect what you do to be done to you,
It will help keep your actions honest and true.
Has anyone ever called you a mean name or treated you badly?
How did it make you feel?
