So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin. James 4:17
And then it happened, with a crash and bang,
The snow globe fell with a clang.
Squirrel had been told not to touch,
But she had wanted to oh so much.
It was Squirmles’ birthday gift you see,
And now it was in pieces accidentally.
A feeling swept over Squirrel like a shadow,
It made her feel bad, it made her feel low.
It had all been an accident, it really had.
So why did Squirrel feel so bad?
She knew not to touch and did anyway,
Disobedience leads to guilt any day.
The snow globe was broken, and so was her heart,
She felt, distant, separated and apart.
She felt a feeling more than bad,
She felt guilty, responsible, and very sad.
But there was hope for this terrible feeling,
A hope for forgiveness, a hope for healing.
Sin and guilt are the very reasons God sent is Son,
It’s his way of saying, “It’s not done.”
Regardless of your sin or how bad you feel,
God can comfort, God can heal.
Because you are human you can’t live without sin,
But ask God to forgive you and he will live within.
Have you ever done something you thought is too bad to forgive? Have you ever had to forgive someone that really hurt you?
