And with a word creation began,
Not with touch or a stroke of hand.
All it took was God saying so,
And all of creation began to grow.
Day one was light,
And day and night,
Day two was separation of the waters from the sky,
Everything was made to glorify.
Day three He added land and plants and seed,
He knew exactly what earth would need.
Day four He put the sun and moon in their place,
He used night and day as their home base.
Day five He gave home to the bird and fish,
Remember day two and what He accomplished?
Day six He placed animal and man,
He made their home when he created land.
Do you see it? God’s perfect plan.
The order of days from light to land.
Day 1-3 making a home for 4-6,
God’s order makes perfect sense.
Then there was Day seven,
Everything rested, even heaven.
Not because God was tired you see,
But because it was done, completed, time to let be.
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Genesis 1:1
“Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.” Genesis 2:1
Write down the seven days for creation and what God created in each day. Split it into two columns day 1-3 and day 4-6, write day 7 down at the bottom centered between the two columns. Now draw a line from day 1 to day 4, day 2 to day 5, and so on. See it? See how God masterly planned the first 3 days to be the perfect environments for the inhabitants that he gave them in day 4-6. Day 7 is center at the bottom because that is God’s holy day of rest because he had completed with perfection what he had started.
What is your favorite day of creation?
