Have you ever done something you shouldn’t, something your parents told you not to do or you just know is wrong? You might wonder if God still loves you. You might do something so bad that your parents get angry with you, and you might think that God is mad, too. You might even believe that He is so mad that He won’t ever be able to forgive you. But that’s not the way that God is.
God’s love for you is so strong that even when you make mistakes and do bad things He still loves you and cares about you. He is willing to forgive you when you ask him to, when you come to Him and repent. He loves you more than anyone else ever could, and He will forgive you for any wrong that you have committed against him. Luke 15:7 says, “I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.”
It’s not right to do bad things on purpose, but when you make a mistake and do something that you know you shouldn’t have done, all you have to do is go to God and He will forgive you. He never stops loving you.
Is there something you need to ask God’s forgiveness for?
