“Mom, I did all my chores, can I please go out and play now?” His mother agreed, and after working hard, Seth finally got some playtime.
Seth was in his backyard playing ball when he heard a loud cry. He walked towards the sound and found his neighbor, a little boy named Josh, crying in pain after having fallen on the sidewalk. Seth sprang into action. He grabbed Josh and helped him over to the side of his house, and turned on the hose. After he had rinsed Josh’s knees, he helped him by going next door and getting his mother.
When Seth came inside, his mother scooped him into a hug. “I know you didn’t see me son, but I saw what you did for Josh and I am so proud that you stopped playing to help out.”
“There are moments when we feel that we are completely alone, and we may think that our behavior does not matter. But God sees. He knows that you were good and kind, just because it was the right thing to do. I am proud of you, Seth.”
