Have you ever felt like you’re not good enough? Have you ever felt embarrassed because of all of the things that you can’t do? Maybe you have an older brother or sister who is good at playing sports, but you’ve never been athletic. Maybe you have tried to bake a cake as good as the ones that your mom makes, but you weren’t able to do that. You might be feeling like nothing you do will ever compare with what others are doing, but that doesn’t mean that you aren’t good enough.
If you are getting down on yourself because of all of the things that you can’t do, then it is time that you remembered that God doesn’t love you based on the things that you can do. God won’t stop loving you if you are never good at sports, or if you never bake a cake as good as your mom’s. God will keep loving you, even when you feel like you are failing. You are worth so much more to Him than the things that you can and cannot do. You are his precious child, and no matter what your talents or lack of skills, His grace is enough for you.
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. (2 Corinthians 12:9a )
In what ways have you ever felt not good enough?
