Sometimes, fear comes at us in the worst moments. We can be getting ready to start something new or exciting. We can be with our friends for a sleepover. We can be getting in the car for a ride. Those moments can be especially tough because our family and friends might be so busy enjoying the moment or living life that they miss our struggle. It isn’t because they do not care, but sometimes it can make the fear even bigger because we feel alone.
But we are never alone.
The Bible tells us that “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1
God is always there. He wants to help us out of our fear, tough situation, or sad place. He is always ready for us, and is never too busy. He wants to be strong for us.
Can you think of times that you can call on God for help?
