One day when Sam was at school he heard all of his friends talking about the things that they were going to do when they grew up. One friend said that he was going to be a doctor. Another said that she was going to be a photographer. And, another friend said that he was going to be a firefighter like his dad. Sam didn’t know what he was going to do, and he was left feeling uncertain. He didn’t have a dad who was a firefighter, and he felt sick when he saw blood. He didn’t know how to take good pictures. He wondered if he’d ever figure out what he wanted to be when he grew up.
Have you ever felt like Sam? Have their been times in your life when you’ve been worried about your future, and what you should be doing with your life? If you have been getting stressed out because you don’t know what you want to do, or be, there is something that you should be remembering. God holds your future in his hands. He has some big plans for your life. He knows what you should do, and he will show you how to do it when the time is right.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
