Callie caterpillar was a little sad, a little mad and a lot determined. She was sad because all the other animals looked better than her. She was mad because crawling anywhere took forever. She was determined to crawl up the tallest tree and build a life above everyone else! But she kept losing her grip.
Do you ever feel like Callie? Everybody else seems better, prettier or smarter.
God has great plans for each of us. God used Jeremiah to tell His people, the Israelites: “I have good plans for you, plans for a great future!” (Jeremiah 29:11)
They doubted God, because they were the slaves then. God never says things He does not mean. Those same people became Jesus’ family: That’s good!!
God has good plans for your future too. Better plans than you can ever dream up.
Callie planned a home high in a tree–God planned bigger changes. Caterpillars like Callie become butterflies. Instead of living in one tree, she would fly thousands of miles to many trees and flowers.
God’s plans are always better than ours. So, what is the best plan you can think of for your life? How might God make it even better?
