God can do anything He wants, like raining down stuffed animals, so why doesn’t He do it? The Bible tells us that God is a god of order. He doesn’t do things that would take away from the work He wants to do on the earth like save people.
For God is not a God of disorder but of peace, as in all the meetings of God’s holy people. 1 Corinthians 14:33 (NLT)
For God is not a God of disorder but of peace, as in all the meetings of God’s holy people. 1 Corinthians 14:40 (NIV)
If the sky rained stuffed animals it wouldn’t make any sense and people wouldn’t take God seriously, like if your teacher suddenly got in a spitball fight in class. She can do it, but you may not respect her authority.
The Bible also says the Lord is our protector.
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Psalm 91:1-2
The Bible says we should “fear” God, meaning we should respect Him. He’s the King of the universe, not a magician.
If you could ask God for anything, what would it be? What do you think God wants for you?
