Matthew 4:4 (NIV) “Jesus answered, ‘It is written: ‘Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ “
There are many, many verses in God’s Word;
Most were written down, and some were spoken by Jesus and heard.
Many of these verses have very powerful meanings;
They help us understand God’s love and His purpose for our being.
Have you memorized Bible verses at home, Sunday morning class, or at school?
I have a couple ways to have fun learning even more and hopefully you will think they are pretty cool!
First, grab index cards or any kind of paper you can’t see through;
Then go to the back of your Bible or online and choose several verses that seem interesting to you.
Write the Bible book, chapter, and verse number where each is found on one side,
Then, write the verse on the back, you may need adult help if the writing is too hard after you’ve tried.
Now, try a flashcard race! Set a timer and see how many verses are guessed right, then take turns or challenge yourself again!
The key is to study as much as you can, because the person with the most verses in the set time is the one with the win!
Or play Hide and Seek with Bible verses! After someone hides the verses, everyone seeks to find them as fast as they know how.
When all the verses have been found, take turns reading the verses aloud; the winner will be who reads the most cards, wow!
These are just a couple games to get your mind on it’s Bible-verse-learning way;
There’s nothing better than to learn about Our Lord, I’d say!
Remember to always play nicely and always play fair,
In no time you will know God’s Word to carry in your heart and also to share!
Fun Fact: Playing games actually does help our minds learn things quicker!
Fun Idea: Come up with your own game to learn even more Bible verses! Share it with others!
