“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Hebrews 13:18
Yesterday, today and tomorrow,
Through happiness, joy and sorrow.
Never changing, always the same,
Steady and true in his name.
Squirrel wondered what that meant,
Was he really the same Jesus that Heaven sent?
It was hard to believe the same Jesus that died,
Was the same Jesus she talked to at her bed side.
Risen again and in Heaven now to hear,
She prayed to the same God that disciples drew near.
The same God that did miracles for all to see,
Is same God she talked to nightly.
God is the same no matter what the day,
It doesn’t matter who you are or what you say.
His love is as steady as when is began,
You can’t escape it; no one can.
He’s consistent and true,
From Abraham to Moses, from me to you.
The same Jesus that rose from the dead,
Is the same Jesus you can talk to from your bed.
He’s personal and he’s there, forever the same,
He’s endless and almighty, and he knows your name.
He’s the creator, he’s the judge,
His character, his love will never budge.
Have you ever thought about the fact that you pray to the same God Abraham prayed to?
How does it make you feel to know that the same God who split the Red Sea is listening to your prayer requests?
