“But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.” 1 Corinthians 1:27
Noah had an ark
Moses had a staff
David had five smooth stones
Gideon blew his trumpet
Jacob had a ladder
Elijah had only dry bones
Sampson used his strength
Daniel used dreams
Solomon used the wisdom God showed
Joshua won the battle of Jericho
Without even putting up a fight
Shadrach Meshach and Abednego
A fiery furnace couldn’t put out their light
God uses people who He’s made clean
Who run from sin and for Him they seek
God brings down the wise by using foolish things
And brings down the mighty by using the weak
A Few Thoughts:
God uses those who allow Him to clean them from sin.
God uses those who run from sin and seek Him.
God uses things seen by the world as foolish and weak.
When we admit we are weak; God can then be strong.
God used Gideon to save Israel even though he was from the smallest tribe and was the youngest in his family. In fact, God called Gideon a “mighty warrior”.
