Bryson’s mom had just come home from the hospital a few days ago, with his new baby brother. “It’s bad enough that I already had one brother to help with! Having two is awful!” He thought about all the work he had now helping, and also about how much everything had changed.
At dinner, his parents asked how he was doing. “We know how hard it is to have such a big change, Bryson. We love you so much and are really proud of you for all your help. God calls families to work together, especially in tough times. It brings Him honor! Did you know that you were bringing God honor by being our helper?”
Bryson’s father smiled at him, and Bryson felt a lot better. He wanted to help, even if it was difficult, especially if it meant that he brought honor to God.
Psalm 103:17-18 “But the lovingkindness of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, And His righteousness to children’s children, to those who keep his covenant and remember to do his commandments.”
How can you help out at home to bring God honor?
