Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ …for the heavenly Father knows you need these things. Matthew 6:31-32
“What if I don’t get an A?”
“What do you think they’ll say?”
“Do you think they’ll like my dress?”
“Does my hair look like a mess?”
“What if I get sick?”
“What if I don’t get picked?”
“Will she still be my friend?”
“Did I forget to hit send?”
These were the worries always in her head,
After a while it was all she said.
Always worried about this or that,
Squirmles had too many worries to combat.
Always a possible problem ahead,
She lay awake worried in bed.
What to do, how to fix the mess,
She wanted so desperately to worry less.
God doesn’t want us to worry–no not all.
He’s got it covered, even when we fall.
Worry is sin that hides itself deep,
Taking away peace and even sleep.
“Anxious for nothing” God tells us to be.
But it’s easy to worry about things we can’t see.
Trust in him who gave his son,
He won’t let his work be undone.
He loves you dearly and cares deeply too,
He knows your worries and what bothers you.
If it matter to you, it matters to him,
Relax, trust, and take it in.
What do you worry about?
Do you think your worries are too big for God?
