Do you ever feel like you are not good enough? Maybe you tried out for the soccer team or to be a cheerleader and you didn’t make it. Maybe you baked a cake and it sunk down deep in the middle. Maybe the other kids at school laugh at you and call you names, and maybe everything has you feeling so down that you wonder if God really loves you. You weren’t good enough to make the team, you aren’t as good of a baker as you wish, or as good of a cheerleader as you want to be. Everyone laughs at you all of the time.
Do you wonder if people can’t love and accept you, how could God?
God’s love is not always easy to understand, and it doesn’t always make sense to us. You don’t have to be perfect for God to love you.
“But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us,” says Romans 5:8. God loves us even when we aren’t perfect, even when we fail. His love for us is so great that He died for us.
When you are feeling insecure or like no one loves you, remember that God loves you no matter what. He won’t judge you based on your mistakes or the teams that you didn’t make. His love for you is stronger than all of that, so strong in fact, that He was willing to die for you.
Have you ever wondered if God really loves you? What made you doubt His love?
