There was once a king in Babylon, with an advisor of his own.
Daniel was the name, no one else looked the same,
very honest and very wise,
and he hadn’t cheated with lies.
Other advisors were very jealous,
because Daniel was loved by others.
They once set rules for Daniel to obey,
failure to which is thrown to lions that day.
But Daniel continued to pray,
to his Almighty Father thrice per day.
Since Daniel did not obey what they said,
then lions were ready to be fed.
He would be thrown to the lions’ den,
to end his continuous prayers then.
Into the den of lions he was finally thrown,
because of the faith in God that Daniel had shown.
But the love of God is true,
and indeed the Lord knew what to do.
Through an angel,
God came to Daniel’s side,
for him not to be eaten if the lions tried,
Lions’ mouths were closed up tight,
for them not to take a bite.
King Darius was so amazed at the saving power of God over Daniel in the lions’ den, that he made a decree that his kingdom should serve the Lord.
Daniel 6:26 I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.
