We all have some bad habits that we need to break,
Whether it’s telling a lie or eating too much cake.
It may even be stealing or using unpleasant curse-words,
Or bullying other kids and throwing stones at birds.
Whatever your bad habits, just know that it needs to stop,
They’re called bad for a reason, so be your own bad-habit cop.
Habits–especially the bad one–are really very hard to break,
You can’t smash them with a hammer or throw them in a lake.
So how do you break bad habits? You may want to know,
How do I start good habits and how do I make them grow?
Here are some things you can do, and they’re not very hard,
You can practice them at school, at home or even in the yard.
Pray to God and ask Him to help you break your bad habit,
Then jump away from temptations like you’re a jack rabbit.
Tell your friends, brothers, sisters, mommy, and daddy too,
So that they’ll all help with your bad habit and see you through.
